Yes, finally got this done -- and with tastefully used textured as opposed to my texture-vomitting on other stuff.

Emboss + Overlay = whoah really I'VE BEEN DOIN IT WRONG FOR SO LONG

This is the first time-consuming, polished drawing featuring the main characters for Love Me Nice, a comic I am gearing up to start soon.

For anyone who's followed my doodles, you'll notice Claire's hair has changed color, from light blue to a strawberry blonde/brown. The blue hair worked when she was just an ice queen, but as I've written more of the story, her characters gotten deeper and much more 'real,' I guess, so the ethereal/cold look doesn't work with me. It was something mulled over for two months and I figured it was now or never.

Anyway, this is such a huge file. I was a quality-whore about EVERYTHING -- I still have the individual characters at huge resolutions, bigger than they probably needed to be.

But, yes. The words are lyrics from that old Witch Doctor song, though I bumbled and swapped the order of 'love me nice' and 'love me true.' Oh well -- would you redraw all that? I thought not.

That in mind, it's worth noting there's no actual voodoo or anything like that in the comic -- I just wanted to draw something paying tribute the comic's namesake.

No, no. This was just a fun theme for this illustration, based on the inspiration for the comic's name. There will be no voodoo in Love Me Nice. I'm sorry.
